About Me

Graduating from the University of California, Davis Theatre Department Master's of Fine Arts program, my educational background has covered scenic design, lighting, sound, directing, producing, theatrical make-up and costume designs.  My unique opportunities to be mentored by David Mitchell, Doug Schmidt, Ralph Funicello, John Iacovelli and Martin Bookwalter, (some of the most predominant scenic designers in the United States), has enabled me to provide students a well-rounded knowledge of technical theatre.  Working with local Central Valley Theatres has provided me and continues to provide me with many opportunities to work in the Theatre Arts Profession.

I enjoy teaching about the creative process of Theatre Arts, introducing students to theatre history, technology, design, production, and more.  Working with students in many capacities serving as an educator, advisor, collaborator and friend, I have greatly appreciated the many experiences.  Knowledgeable in cutting-edge computer programs used in the entertainment world that benefit the students in both theatre and film providing students more opportunities for work.  Experienced in curriculum development, student learning outcomes, distance learning/online curriculum, and much more I offer my experience to share the workload with fellow faculty members.

Working professionally in collaboration with local and non-local directors and I can provide students with many opportunities to work in their desired career path.  Having had my own memorable opportunities as a student (assisting in the designs for theatre festivals in Delphi Greece, New York and Los Angeles.), I understand the importance in helping students to prepare by gaining the practical experience of working in the theatre.  This practical experience serves as a two-fold in that it not only gives them work experience, but also helps them to discover their goals for the future
